This is zoom workshop for three days(9th,16th and 23rd of Feb). The classes will be recorded and available for viewing for two month after the last class.
Italic hand is one of the main script styles in calligraphy. There are so many variations and styles for Italic hand. It is very important to learn Italic hand when we start calligraphic journey because you will learn the basic understanding of how the broad nib works. We are not tackle the variations yet but the knowledge you will learn in this class will be the foundational stones in your art.
The classes will be recorded and available for two month from the last class.

Writing tools – monoline nib only if you have (Monoline nib has round end) or black fine liner (not too fine tip, around 1mm thickness) If you are not sure, ask me.
Nib
o parallel pen (3mm or 3.8mm) or
o Broad edge nibs (Speedball or Brouse or Tape) – various sizes, mainly around 2 –2.5mm width
Paper – any bleedproof practice paper (A3 size) so that you can have clean line with your writing tool. You can buy bleedproof pad from various placed (just ask Google)
Ink – If you are using nibs you can use Sumi ink or any acrylic ink. I recommend Pelikan 4001. If you are using a parallel pen, please bring extra cartridges.
