Studio visit and 'No Rules Calligraphy'
It is not an everyday opportunity to visit an Artist’s studio and look inside of the birth place of art. Anita George, who has been a long time CSV member, kindly opens her studio for us. We will have a chat in her studio surrounded by her fabulous pieces then we will get a chance to play with ink and paper. Why not come along, enjoy a day to explore a playful mixture of letters and abstract art.
Tea and Coffee will be available.
Please let us(pres.csv@gmail.com) know if you would like to come by 4th October.
If you need a ride arrangement or any questions please contact Michael Ballek. pres.csv@gmail.com

Ground Swell Exhibition by Lisa Churchward
Stockyard Gallery invites you to Ground Swell by Lisa Churchward : An exhibition of painting and textile inspired by nature’s bounty from the earth and sea.
From Lisa Churchward …..Ground Swell is my first solo exhibition, which is happening at the Stockyard gallery in Foster this April. I was thrilled and honoured to be invited to exhibit, and the last few months have been a whirlwind of creation.
I work in a variety of media, so pulling together a cohesive show is a bit of a challenge. It occurred to me that my inspiration is from both earth and sea… from gathering flora to ecoprint, using earth pigment to paint, and channeling the colours I see every day in the ocean in my colourful mixed media works. The name Ground Swell seemed to echo this: from quiet understated works through to riotous abstract pieces.
I would love CSV members to visit to see my paintings, stitch and textile works, and to come to the opening on Sat 5 April 2-4 pm. Do let me know if you are visiting so that I can meet you there.
Thanks for all of your support.
